Only this city would have something this coolDubai is one of those cities lucky enough to have some incredible things to do that you’ll most likely not find anywhere else.Home to the jaw-dropping, the ultra-cool and the just plain awesome, there are new attractions and events popping up every week to keep you and your Insta-grid occupied.Enter House of Hype.Created by the team behind equally impressive Dubai attraction AYA Universe, this lot know how to give you a cool Insta-op.The venue opened in February at Dubai Mall, and on first glance, you might not know what to expect.But trust us on this one. This gigantic experience has over 100 different things to do, and you’ll feel like you’ve walked through video games, taken a stroll through Japan and stumbled into a dream at the same time.What to expect at House of HypeYou’ll arrive at this funhouse through Chinatown, only to be greeted with a selfie-worthy car wash (think a pink Jeep with a tongue sticking out), packed with dancing performers and even the opportunity to pick up some hype merch.Take a few minutes to explore and then you’ll sort out your ‘game band’ (bit like a wristband), your pass to all the insane activities ahead. Plus, everything you’re about to play, create or film will be saved to it and you can download all the clips later (content = sorted).Then, camera at the ready, you’re inside a series of new rooms and worlds and you’ll soon realise why it describes itself as a ‘wonderverse’.Don’t missYou can spend hours in House of Hype checking out every nook and cranny (and you should) but if you’re making a trip there, these are the must-see spots.The first being the green screen studio, where you can hop inside, choose your song and then show off your best moves while recording a music video. You’ll even have (digital) back-up dancers following your lead.Next up, perhaps one (if not the only) spot in Dubai where you’ll feel like you’re walking through a bustling street of Tokyo. Grab a cheesy fish tayaki and then head inside the launderette, where you might just find more than you bargain for.Speaking of which, this is your challenge to also try and track down the hidden sushi bar tucked away somewhere inside. Just look out for the hidden door…On this street, there’s even a store made for 90s kids, packed with furbies, beanie babies, hot wheels.If you’re looking to buy something you find in one of the stores, then it’s worth noting that playing the games can earn you ‘hyper’ coins, the venue’s currency for shopping and food stands.From the hidden chandelier room to the emoji walkway and the smart spray painting wall, your feed is going to be glowing as brightly as the neon lights around you.Immersive worlds, immaculate backdrops and epic challenges, House of Hype is so Dubai and we love it.
